Banco Bilbao: Q1 Earnings Snapshot

MADRID (AP) — MADRID (AP) — Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A. (BBVA) on Tuesday reported first-quarter earnings of $2.84 billion.

The Madrid-based bank said it had earnings of 47 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 47 cents per share.

The bank posted revenue of $9.81 billion in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $9.81 billion, which beat Street forecasts.

Banco Bilbao shares have increased 48% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 24% in the last 12 months.
