The Melville, New York-based company said it had profit of 39 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 54 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 43 cents per share.
The maker of software for analyzing intercepted communications posted revenue of $224.2 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $210.2 million.
Verint expects full-year earnings to be $2.90 per share.
