On a per-share basis, the Golden, Colorado-based company said it had profit of 96 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.80 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.65 per share.
The beer maker posted revenue of $3.6 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $3.04 billion, which fell short of Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $3.14 billion.
