On a per-share basis, the Hampton, New Jersey-based company said it had a loss of 64 cents.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 69 cents per share.
The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $3.2 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.4 million.
