The Frisco, Texas-based company said it had net income of $1.10 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.35 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.20 per share.
The provider of home-based personal care, nursing and rehabilitative therapy services posted revenue of $286.9 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $283.8 million.
Addus HomeCare shares have climbed 27% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $117.71, a climb of 24% in the last 12 months.
