On a per-share basis, the Sunnyvale, California-based company said it had net income of 8 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense, came to 11 cents per share.
The maker of customer engagement software posted revenue of $24.6 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $2.1 million, or 6 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $98 million.
For the current quarter ending in September, eGain expects its per-share earnings to range from 5 cents to 7 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $23.5 million to $24 million for the fiscal first quarter.
EGain expects full-year earnings in the range of 33 cents to 35 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $96 million to $98 million.
