Tilt taps co-founder of Richmond VR experience as its new chief growth officer

Richmond content marketing agency Tilt Creative + Production has tapped Dontrese Brown as its new executive vice president and chief growth officer tasked with seeking new business.

Brown was formerly the executive director of the EDGE Center for Career Development at Ashland’s Randolph-Macon College and was previously creative director at Capital One Financial Corp. and Victorinox Swiss Army Inc.

He is also one of the co-founders of “Hidden in Plain Site,” a web-based and virtual reality exploration of overlooked historic sites in Richmond focused on the Black experience. Richmond Inno profiled the project last year.

A goal of the project was to help “acknowledge the wrongdoing” toward the Black community and its history, Brown told us last year. 

“What I want this to be is a source of acknowledgement so we can actually partner better as a nation, to move forward, to eliminate some of the systemic racism that’s been in our country for years,” he said at the time.
