CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were higher Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for Sep. advanced 58.2 cents at $8.5250 a bushel; Sep. corn rose 16.25 cents at $6.8925 a bushel; Dec. oats was up 1 cents at $3.90 a bushel; while Sep. soybeans gained 16.25 cents at 15.0375 a bushel.
Beef was lower and pork was higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Oct. live cattle was off .30 cent at $1.4495 a pound; Sep. feeder cattle fell 2.82 cents at $1.8235 a pound; Oct. lean hogs rose 2.32 cents at $.9232 a pound.
