Hilton expands its pet-friendly offerings across the U.S. and Canada

Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HLT) continues to bet big on travelers who want to vacation with their pets.

The McLean hotel giant said last week that nearly 85% of all Hilton properties in the U.S. and 80% of its properties in Canada are now pet-friendly hotels. Its seven pet-friendly flags include Canopy by Hilton, Embassy Suites by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton by Hilton, Tru by Hilton, Homewood Suites by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton and they combine for more than 4,600 properties in the U.S. and Canada. Pte fees apply, but vary based on hotel and location.

Hilton said it is expanding a partnership reached last year with Mars Petcare, a division of the McLean food and candy behemoth Mars Inc., to offer access to an on-demand virtual service where experts from Mars’ Banfield, BluePearl and VCA Animal Hospitals can answer questions related to traveling with cats and dogs.
