Amazon eyes downtown D.C. for another full-service grocery store

Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) is eyeing downtown D.C. for another grocery store, according to public documents.

Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration, which the agency’s chief of staff, Jared Powell, shared with the Washington Business Journal, lists the license application for 1100 15th Street NW as a “full-service grocery store.” That is the address of Carr Properties’ Midtown Center, the headquarters of Fannie Mae — and the former headquarters of The Washington Post.
