Three Amazon brick-and-mortar stores are coming soon to the D.C. area. None are supermarkets.

Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) has three brick-and-mortar retail stores slated to open soon in the D.C. area, and none are supermarkets.

Confirming the Washington Business Journal’s previous reporting, the e-commerce giant will open an Amazon 4-star location at Germantown’s Neelsville Village Center, per Amazon’s own website that lists current and upcoming stores. The 4-star stores sell a curated selection of items that have received top reviews on the Amazon website.

Another 4-star is coming soon to the Mall in Columbia, Maryland, in suite 2227, per Amazon’s website.

And in the District, an Amazon Pop Up is coming to 1807 14th St. NW, the space formerly occupied by Home Rule. The company’s website does not indicate an exact address, but the location was confirmed through permit data. Pop Up locations offer a themed, frequently updated selection of top brands — presumably, this store will be tied to the holiday season.
