Cynthia Kim is founder and president of Love Classic, an Arlington apparel firm currently producing a wide variety of socks and donating pairs to a local women’s shelter.

What inspired you to make socks, as opposed to, say, another clothing item? When I started Love Classic, I knew that I wanted to eventually expand the company. However, I wanted to start with the focus on one light-hearted, fun product. I ended up choosing socks because they’re a small item when packaged, easily overlooked in an outfit, and saw this potential to be a great gift idea.
