CEO of José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup to step down

Kimberly Grant, the six-year chief executive of José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup restaurant group, will step down at the end of the month.

The company is not yet announcing a replacement for Grant, who will pursue “other entrepreneurial opportunities,” a spokesperson said in an email to the Washington Business Journal. Andrés will assume the role of CEO and chairman for now, and ThinkFoodGroup co-founder and Vice Chairman Rob Wilder will resume a “more active role” as president.

In her six years, Grant has helped ThinkFoodGroup with its expansion, overseeing the opening of Jaleo at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, and Mercado Little Spain in New York’s Hudson Yards. She also helped build the company’s leadership team and infrastructure to grow the portfolio and increase global revenue sixfold.
