Under Armour shakes up C-suite, creates new chief experience position

Under Armour Inc. is making some changes to its C-suite, moves new CEO Patrik Frisk says will help the company run more efficiently.

Colin Browne, currently chief supply chain officer, will become chief operating officer. Browne is filling the role Frisk used to have before he succeeded Kevin Plank as CEO of Baltimore-based Under Armour at the beginning of the year. Frisk remains president of the company.

The other change is the creation of a new chief experience officer position that will be filled by current Chief Digital Officer Paul Fipps. In the position, Fipps will be responsible for Under Armour’s overall consumer experience and digital strategy, including its global retail and ecommerce business, Connected Fitness apps, software engineering, customer relationship management, human performance and data science functions.

Both changes are effective Feb. 17 and mark the latest shake-up by Under Armour (NYSE: UAA) since Frisk joined the sportswear maker in July 2017.
