We’ve got numbers: Revenue at Nationals Park-area restaurants soared in October

MarginEdge helps restaurant manage purchasing and sales data. The 12-month sales trend comes from a sampling of 100+ restaurants in the D.C. area. This month, they also pulled additional sales data from restaurants near Nationals Park whose business was directly affected by the World Series.

No surprise, but the Nationals winning the World Series delivered a huge boost to dining around Nats Park. It was a home run for neighborhood restaurant sales during the three home games Oct. 25-27, and also during the highly attended Game 7 watch party at the stadium when the Nats clinched the series in Houston. Compared to the same period last year, full-service restaurant sales in the neighborhood were up by an eye-popping 218%, and fast-casual saw a nice 17% uptick.
