This steak chain is closing two D.C.-area restaurants

Two locations of Del Frisco’s Grille in Greater Washington will shutter Sunday, just a few weeks after the restaurants’ parent company agreed to sell them to huge restaurant conglomerate Landry’s Inc. 

Del Frisco’s Grille, the more casual of the two concepts Del Frisco’s has in the region, will close locations at Pike & Rose in North Bethesda and at 1201 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, according to a Del Frisco’s spokesperson.

The higher end Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in CityCenterDC will remain open. 

The closures come shortly after Landry’s agreed to acquire the Del Frisco’s-branded restaurants from private equity firm L Catterton, which acquired the larger Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group Sept. 25. L Catterton held on to the other Del Frisco’s restaurant concepts, Barcelona Wine Bar and bartaco. The Del Frisco’s sale to Landry’s is expected to close at the end of October.
