The week in bankruptcies: 4 entities in Greater Washington

The Washington Business Journal offers a new weekly roundup of bankruptcy filings in the region based on public records collected by parent company American City Business Journals.

For the week that ended Oct. 11, Washington-area bankruptcy courts recorded four filings, though all had assets below $1 million, Through Oct. 11, the region recorded 129 cases of Chapter 7 liquidation, Chapter 9 for municipalities and Chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy filings, a 7% increase from the same span the prior year.

DDC-IDC Inc. filed for voluntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection Oct. 6 in the Eastern District of Virginia.

The debtor listed an address of 8179 Falls Grove Dr., Manassas, and is represented in court by attorney Weon G. Kim. DDC-IDC Inc. listed assets ranging from $0 to $50,000 and debts ranging from $500,001 to $1,000,000. The filing did not identify a largest creditor.
