HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — The Associated Press has withdrawn two stories published Nov. 27, 2024, reporting that a collegiate linebacker died about a month after sustaining injuries from a football game in October. Alabama A&M University has retracted an initial statement announcing the death of the student athlete, Medrick Burnett Jr. AP will publish a new story.
