HOUSTON (AP) — Quintell Quinn ran for two touchdowns to spark Texas Southern to a 28-10 win over NCCAA-member Virginia Lynchburg on Saturday afternoon.
Quinn capped an eight-play, 66-yard opening drive with a 10-yard run and X’Avier Allen returned a blocked punt 11 yards to take a 14-0 first-quarter lead.
The Dragons scored their lone touchdown when Ryan Sims returned a Texas Southern fumble 60 yards for the score.
Quinn carried 17 times for 116 yards to lead the Tigers (2-3), who amassed 222 yards on 39 carries. Jordan Davis completed 8 of 13 pass attempts for 118 yards.
Matthew Jenks led the Dragons, completing 17 of 29 pass attempts for 131 yards with two interceptions.
