Wake Forest plays Boston College for spot in ACC title game

WHAT’S AT STAKE?

Wake Forest looks to clinch its first ACC Atlantic Division title since 2006. A Boston College win would open a spot in the league championship game for North Carolina State or Clemson.

KEY MATCHUP

Wake Forest rushing defense vs. Boston College RB Pat Garwo. The Demon Deacons defense has allowed more than 300 yards rushing in two of the past three games and four times on the season. Garwo has four 100-yard games this season, including a career-high 175 against Missouri on Sept. 25. He needs 19 yards to surpass 1,000 for the season.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Wake Forest: QB Sam Hartman has thrown for 3,475 yards to lead an offense that averages more than 43 points per game — fourth in the nation. He has thrown for more than 300 yards in six of the last seven games and at least one touchdown in 14 games in a row.

Boston College: CB Josh DeBerry leads Boston College with 53 tackles. He is second on the team with two interceptions. He had a career-high 10 tackles against Georgia Tech.
