Iona hosts Niagara after Hammond’s 28-point game

BOTTOM LINE: Niagara plays the Iona Gaels after Marcus Hammond scored 28 points in Niagara’s 68-58 win against the Canisius Golden Griffins.

The Gaels are 6-0 in home games. Iona leads the MAAC with 15.6 assists per game led by Dylan van Eyck averaging 3.5.

The Purple Eagles are 2-3 against conference opponents. Niagara leads the MAAC allowing just 64.6 points per game while holding opponents to 41.3% shooting.
