Hallway Heroes 2019

 

WTOP and WTOP.com, along with Huntington Learning Center, have announced the “Hallway Heroes” program in support of public and charter school employees in the DMV. It’s time for all the unsung heroes at your school to be recognized!

From now until July 14, 2019 you can nominate an employee within your school that goes above and beyond every day to make a difference. They can be an administrator, teacher, counselor, cafeteria staff, support staff, building custodian….anyone employed by the school that makes a positive impact on those around them!

Employees of Public and charter schools (K-12) in the following counties/districts are eligible: 

Maryland: Anne Arundel County, Calvert County, Charles County, Frederick County, Howard County, Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, and St. Mary’s County;

Virginia: Arlington County, Fairfax County, Fauquier County, Loudoun County, Prince William County, Stafford County, Spotsylvania County, City of Alexandria, City of Fairfax, City of Falls Church, City of Manassas, and City of Manassas Park

Washington D.C.

Starting May 20, 2019, the WTOP editorial staff will select a nomination story weekly & with each chosen nominee’s permission- WTOP will feature a “Hallway Hero” each week for 10 weeks on-air (103.5 FM) and online (WTOP.com). Giving them the recognition they so richly deserve!
