Mexican bar and restaurant out of Baltimore to open in Arlington

Baltimore Mexican restaurant Banditos Bar & Kitchen is expanding to Greater Washington.

The bar and restaurant, which has a location in Baltimore’s Federal Hill neighborhood and another on the way in White Marsh, will open in Arlington. Owner Sean White said he has signed a lease for space in Arlington’s Pentagon Row shopping center, which recently rebranded as “Westpost at National Landing.”

The newest Banditos is expected to open sometime this fall, said Jenn Pak, the director of marketing for White Oak Hospitality Group, which owns a portfolio of restaurants including the Mexican eatery as well as Wayward Smokehouse, 101 Baltimore and The Curious Oyster.

The expansion to Northern Virginia is the “next logical progression” for the Banditos brand, Pak said. The Westpost center is owned by the Federal Realty Investment Trust, which also owns the Avenue at White Marsh, where White Oak Hospitality operates the Curious Oyster, a location of the Wayward Smokehouse and a soon-to-open Banditos…
