Loudoun Co. teacher arrested at school, charged with DUI

WASHINGTON — A Loudoun County middle school teacher was arrested Friday on charges of driving under the influence and having alcohol in the school.

The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office said that Megan Debo, 29, a teacher at Sterling Middle School, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and of possessing or drinking alcohol on school grounds during school hours.

A spokesman for the sheriff’s office said that staffers told a school resource officer that Debo might have been intoxicated. As they investigated, it was determined that Debo had driven to school and had alcohol on school property

She’s been charged with DUI and possessing or drinking an alcoholic beverage in a public school or on public school grounds during school hours.

As of Friday afternoon, Debo was being held at the Loudon County Detention Center on a $2,000 unsecured bond.
