HARKERS ISLAND, N.C. (AP) — Officials at Cape Lookout National Seashore have announced the summer schedule when visitors can view the moon from the top of the Cape Lookout Lighthouse.
Superintendent Patrick M. Kenney says the climbs are scheduled for dates near the full moon during June, July, August, September and October. Visitors are asked to bring flashlights.
Reservations, which are required, are now being accepted for an Evening at Cape Lookout Lighthouse on June 4, 5, and 6. Reservations for each of the other evening programs will be accepted the week prior to each month’s dates.
