Police: Man robbed couple’s car while they visited cemetery

WASHINGTON — Police are looking for a man who they say robbed a couple’s car while they were visiting a Prince George’s County, Maryland cemetery.

It happened around 1 p.m. on June 18 at the George Washington Cemetery in Adelphi.

According to police, a couple was visiting a grave site, and had only been away from their car for about 15 minutes. In that time, someone opened their car door and stole a purse that was inside the vehicle.

Later that same day, the suspect was seen on surveillance cameras using one of the stolen credit cards at a store in Hyattsville.
