Ronda Rousey accepts viral-video date invitation from Marine

WASHINGTON — One Marine aimed high last month when he invited UFC champion Ronda Rousey to be his date at the Marine Ball via a Facebook video.

Well, 4 million views later, his ambition paid off: She says she “would go for sure.”

Rousey tells TMZ that she hadn’t been able to go with him to the December ball, due to her preparation schedule for a fight in January 2016, but since the fight has been moved up to November, she’s free.

She also says of Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert, “He’s cute.”

Unfortunately, they don’t know how to get in touch with each other — but they’ve got time to work that out.

“Do I call him?,” Rousey says. “Or do I set up a time and place like ‘Never Been Kissed and wait until the clock runs out and be like, ‘I’m here!’”

Rousey’s acceptance comes with a condition: Haschert has to find dates for the three friends Rousey was with when she agreed to the date.

She also has a warning: Haschert has “gotta be a gentleman … [because] I’m not a first-date kind of girl.”

Haschert assures TMZ that he’s a perfect gentleman. He’d better be.
