Lindsay Lohan pitches car insurance in Super Bowl ad

WASHINGTON —  Lindsay Lohan, who’s had her share of alcohol and driving under the influence problems is starring in a Super Bowl ad for a car insurance company.

Lohan dropped a big hint Tuesday on her Facebook page, with a video showing her behind the wheel of a car, asking if anyone needed a lift to Sunday’s Super Bowl.

On Thursday, Lohan confirmed on Twitter that she would be appearing in the Esurance ad. Her tweet also includes a behind-the-scenes interview with Lohan about her reasons for doing the ad for Esurance, which is an Allstate company.

Lohan’s 2007 arrest for Driving Under the Influence in Beverly Hills has led to several well-publicized court appearances, two weeks in prison, violation of her probation, community service, and rehab. She finally finished her DUI probation in March 2012.
