Maryland State Police say the accident happened on Brandywine Road just after midnight on Sunday morning. It started when one car hit a mailbox and ended up in the roadway in Hughesville. The driver called two family members to help.

While they were in the middle of the road, a second car crashed into the initial vehicle and struck one of the family members.
