Prince George’s County police officer suspended for DUI

WASHINGTON — A Prince George’s County police officer has been suspended after the Maryland State Police charged her with driving under the influence on Saturday.

Cpl. Miriam Perez was off-duty when she was arrested, according to county police.

The department has launched an investigation into the incident. Perez has been suspended with pay pending an administrative hearing.

Perez, an eight-year veteran, was not driving a department vehicle when she was arrested.
