5 hurt in separate D.C. shootings

WASHINGTON — Five people were hurt in separate shootings in D.C. Monday
night and early Tuesday morning, all within six hours.

  • A man is in the hospital after he was shot around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday
    along Owen Place, near Gallaudet University, in Northeast.
  • One man was injured shortly after 11 p.m. inside a location along Yuma
    Street, near First Street in Southeast. The D.C. police have no information on a
    suspect yet.
  • Another man was hurt around 9:30 in a shooting on 16th Street, near Oates
    Street in Northeast. Police are looking for two black men in a black Subaru.
  • Two other shootings happened around 7 p.m. One person shot on Naylor Road,
    in Southeast, has life-threatening injuries. The other shooting happened on
    Mount Olivet Road in Northeast.

The police have no information on suspects or motives in these shootings yet.
