Break-in nets electronics at Va. baseball stadium

BRISTOL, Va. (AP) — Police are investigating a burglary at the Pittsburgh Pirates’ rookie-league affiliate in Bristol, Virginia.

Bristol Pirates General Manager Mahlon Luttrell says electronics and other items were stolen from the Appalachian League team’s stadium clubhouse. A team trainer discovered the items missing and a door left open when he arrived at the clubhouse on Sunday.

Luttrell says many of the items belonged to the team’s players.

The Bristol Herald Courier (http://bit.ly/1oo1Ngy) reports it marks the third break-in at the stadium.
