Horse rescued after falling in Va. pool

WASHINGTON — A Loudoun County horse had quite a morning on Tuesday after it wandered into a neighbor’s yard, walked onto the pool cover and ended up in the pool.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s office says it got a public service call for help around 8:20 a.m. and sent crews to Jeb Stuart Road where the horse was stuck.

They were able to cut a path in the cover and lead the horse to safety, a news release states.
