WASHINGTON — Most airlines are getting stingier and stingier, charging more and more for amenities that used to come standard — things such as checked bags and even drinks will cost customers. But one airline is going in a more luxurious direction.
Etihad Airways, based in Abu Dhabi, is looking to corner the luxury market with its latest service, which they call The Residence by Etihad. It’s available on the airline’s new A380 jets, and If it sounds deluxe and spacious, that’s because it is — a three-room suite with showers, a butler, a chef and more.
So how much does it all cost? One way from Abu Dhabi to London will run about $21,000.
