New mobile app, e-cash payments come to Nats Park (Video)

Nationals Park is upping its tech game for baseball fans this season with new mobile apps, redesigned Web portals and cashless transactions for season-ticket holders.

Britton Stackhouse Miller, senior director of client services and business operations for the Washington Nationals, demonstrated this week how ticket plan holders can load cash onto what the team is calling “Ultimate Ballpark Access Cards” from online accounts. Those cards can then be used at retail and concession stands.

With a mobile app coming in May, fans will be able to use their smartphones to gain entry into the ballpark and view seats for each game. The redesigned Web portal allows fans to manage e-cash balances and share tickets with other card holders.
