Arrest following residential burglary attempt in Chevy Chase

WASHINGTON – Police have arrested a suspect following an attempted residential burglary Thursday morning in Chevy Chase.

Shortly after 11:30 a.m., Montgomery County Police responded to a residence in the 4200 block of East West Highway, where two men had reportedly opened the back door of a residence. A housekeeper in the home saw them, and the men fled.

Police officers saw the men walking off of a trail behind the home, and police chased them on foot. The men split up and police caught and arrested one.

That suspect is Michael Keith Muschette, 20, of the District. Police have charged him with first degree burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.
