Longtime restaurant manager John Foster and a partner are bringing the concept to the former space of Jiffy Shoppes at 4924 St Elmo Ave. The restaurant announced it will be open for dinner Saturday, then from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. starting Sunday.
Foster said he came up with the concept while managing the Chima Brazilian Steakhouse in Tysons Corner. The idea is essentially the same as at a Brazilian steakhouse — just substitute pizza. A variety of pizzas will be rotated around the dining room.
As for the pizza, Foster said he’s going for a hybrid New York-Chicago style, with a thinner crust slow cooked at 550 degrees so the ingredients bake into the pie.
