The Mexican guitar duo that rose to stardom after its YouTube cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” went viral is coming in August to the Music Center at Strathmore.
Rodrigo y Gabriela have done a bunch more work since the 2006 video, which has more than 10 million views.
They’ve made the rounds on the late night talk show circuit, performed at the White House for President Obama, worked on big-budget Hollywood movies and put out a few albums.
Their performance on August 4 at Strathmore will include elements of metal, jazz and international music with an opening from singer, songwriter and guitarist Zach Heckendorf.
