WASHINGTON (AP) – Metro officials say an out-of-service train with no passengers onboard derailed as it was leaving a rail yard in northeast Washington.
The Washington Post reports that the red line train derailed around 6:45 p.m. Saturday. Officials say the train was going at low speed within the rail yard when the wheels of the fifth car on the train went off the tracks. No one was injured.
