‘Poople Maps’ aims to shame some pet owners

WASHINGTON – Tired of seeing doggy droppings accumulate in your neighborhood? There’s a new app to the rescue.

France 24 reports three Paris students, who were sick of seeing mounds of dog waste accumulating on the side of the street in their neighborhood, made a mobile app to flag the “issues.”

“Poople Maps” was developed to show local authorities the need for a solution to the pet waste, France 24 reports. It was launched as a way to show local residents the importance of picking up after their dogs.

The app will soon be available for download through Google’s Play Store and the Apple Store.
