Google doodle generates controversy on Easter

WASHINGTON – Google spurred controversy on Easter Sunday over its choice of doodle themes.

Visitors to the company’s search engine website will see a portrait of the late labor organizer Cesar Chavez in place of the second ‘o’ in Google. It is to celebrate his birthday.

Some people on social media are arguing that Google should be celebrating Easter instead, like its competitor Bing, which has an image of brightly colored Easter eggs on its homepage today.
