Pentagon City mall is shifting toward higher-end brands

As the economy improves and consumer spending rebounds, Arlington’s Fashion Centre at Pentagon City is shifting its focused toward attracting higher-end retailers, The Washington Post reported.

The mall, long a teenage hangout with stores such as Forever 21 and Finish Line, added a dozen new retailers last year, including Kate Spade, Bose and Oakley. Coach picked the Fashion Centre as the site of its first store to carry both men’s and women’s lines. And the food court even got a boost when Chipotle opened there last year.
