67,000 pounds of Tyson Chicken wings recalled

WASHINGTON – Tyson Foods is recalling thousands of pounds of chicken because of allergens that aren’t declared on the packaging.

About 67,000 pounds of packages labeled as “Honey BBQ Flavored Boneless Chicken Wyngz” are being recalled due to the misbranding.

“Buffalo Style Boneless Chicken Wyngz” were packaged in bags meant for “Honey BBQ Flavored Boneless Chicken Wyngz.” The food contains the allergens milk, soy and egg, which are not declared on the “Honey BBQ Flavored Boneless Chicken Wyngz” label

The products subject to recall include:

  • 25.5 ounce bags with the use by date “Aug 072013” or “Aug 082013”
  • 12.75 pound shipping cases of “Fully Cooked Boneless Chicken Wyngz Buffalo Style.”

Tyson Foods was alerted to the problem through consumer complaints.

There are no reports of illness so far.
