Beltsville man wanted for Ellicott City double shooting

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. – Police need the public’s help to find a suspect in a double shooting that left two people in critical condition Saturday.

The suspect police are seeking is Tuan Minh Pham, 35, of Beltsville.

The Howard Police Department is offering a reward up to $2,500 for information that leads to his arrest.

An arrest warrant issued for Pham charges him with two counts of first- and second-degree attempted murder, two counts of first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and multiple gun charges.

Pham allegedly went to Nail and Hair Care Spa where his estranged girlfriend Lan Phan, 34, of Silver Spring, works. Phan and Pham have two children. Phan had a protective order against Pham, police say.

Outside the salon in the 5700 block of Richards Valley Road, police say Pham approached Phuong Thanh Do, 40, of Florida. Do, a friend of Phan’s, had been waiting to pick her up from work.

Investigators believe Pham shot Do and then ran after him as he entered the salon, where Phan was then shot.

Police say Pham fled in a 1998 tan or gold 4-door Honda Accord, with licence plate 2AK0291.

Both Do and Phan remain in critical condition at the University of Maryland’s Shock Trauma unit.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Howard County Police Department at 410-313-STOP.
