There are hundreds of trombones headed to Nat’s Park this Friday afternoon. Inspired by the signature song “76 Trombones” from their current production of Meredith Willson’s The Music Man, Arena Stage is aiming to bring together more than 500 trombone players on Friday, June 1, at the Washington Nationals Park to set the world record for largest all-trombone orchestra. Partnering with FAME (The Foundation for the Advancement of Music & Education, Inc.), Arena Stage aims to focus awareness on the musical education needs of children in the greater DC Metro area.
