WASHINGTON – It wasn’t that the rear window of his rental Cadillac Escalade was smashed in, or that his iPod was stolen, or that the thieves also took his wallet.

It was his stolen Starbucks Gold Card that brought New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco close to tears.

Ochocinco took to Twitter, where he has more than 3 million followers, to vent his pain. In addition to posting a photo of the smashed window, the sometimes dramatic and prolific tweeter posted a video of himself lamenting his lost coffee card.

Apparently, Ochocinco was on his way to IHOP when the crime happened.

In the video, Ocho goes off about how many coffees he had to drink and lemon loafs he had to eat to get the coveted Gold Card.

He even had $220 left on the card, which is a convenient way to pay for Starbucks purchases.

After the theft, Ochocinco continued his rant on Twitter:

Amazingly, one of his followers reached out to him, letting him know that her mother had found his wallet.

And not only did Ochocinco get his wallet back, thanks to the micro-blogging site, but coffee behemoth, Starbucks saw his plight and reached out to him to begin the process of replacing the card immediately.

All in all, it was an eventful day for Ochocinco. And one with a happy ending.
