WASHINGTON – Boeing’s new 787 Dreamliner took off from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport around 11 a.m. Friday.
The wide-body jet arrived at the airport Monday as part of its dream tour of the world.
It leaves Friday for a brief one-hopper to Dulles International Airport.
From there, it’s off to its next destination, Dallas-Fort Worth.
The Dreamliner is Boeing’s newest passenger jet. It’s said to have cleaner cabin air and 20 percent better fuel efficiency than the average jumbo jet.
Executives say the fuel efficiency and long range of the Dreamliner make new routes possible.
For passengers, the new technology is supposed to cut down on jet lag.
