Arlington food festival celebrates 25th anniversary

WASHINGTON – Foodies unite: the 25th annual “Taste of Arlington” is a weekend treat to whet your palate.

The festival, which starts at noon Sunday in Ballston, will showcase more than 40 restaurants, including favorites like Willow and Front Page. There will also be free stuff for kids and even the family dog.

Tina Leone, executive director of the Ballston Bid, says there will be some community performers, as well as alternative and rock ‘n’ roll bands to end the day.

“We have little flavors for everybody,” she said.

While getting into the food fest is free, the event offers taste booklets for $30. The booklets include eight tastings.

The proceeds go to Arlington charities to celebrate the event’s anniversary.
