FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – A teenage boy has been arrested for setting a school bus on fire.
The handicapped school bus was found torched and totally destroyed at the Ferry Farm Elementary School in Fredericksburg on March 31.
The Stafford County Fire Marshal’s Office says tips after releasing security video and photos led to the arrest.
The teen’s charges include three felonies — burning or destroying personal property, manufacture, possession, use, etc., of fire bombs or explosive materials or devices and conspiracy to comment a felony.
Deputy Fire Marshal Jason Smith says he is expecting more arrests and charges, since they are looking for a second suspect shown in the video.
Nobody was injured in the fire. The bus was valued at $55,000.
