‘Hot mic gaffe’ shows Obama’s true feelings at WHCA dinner (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON – President Obama poked fun at real hot-mic gaffes last weekend, broadcasting audio from behind the scenes before press secretary Jay Carney got a chance to kill the audio.

“I’m the president of the United States, and I’m opening for JIMMY KIMMEL? Why am I telling knock-knock jokes to Kim Kardashian?” Obama said.

Nobody who made moves in the political sphere in the last year was safe from the wrath of the president at this year’s White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. “The Donald” got his fair share of ridicule, as did Obama’s likely challenger this fall, Mitt Romney, who received one more critique for being out-of-touch.

Even the Secret Service wasn’t safe, after the president stated he needed to get them home before their new curfew. So much for protecting the guys who jump in front of bullets.

That agency also caught the ire of Jimmy Kimmel, the show’s host, who empathized with their recent scandal after commenting on the voluptuous actress Sofia Vergara, herself from Colombia.

All in all, it seemed to be a successful evening for all involved.

“I feel like you learn a lot when you come here!” said Kim Kardashian.
